The main city of this circuit is Ajmer. It is 132 Kms. from Jaipur and is
also linked by Rail with Delhi. A super fast train "Shatabdi Express''
runs daily from Delhi via Jaipur.
Kishangarh : It is a town situated 30 km. east of Ajmer. It is situated
on the National High ways no. 8. Linking Jaipur and Ajmer. It is a treasure
house of art & Craft. The miniature as well as portraits are the specialty
of this place. Wooden furniture is famous for its carving and golden
polish. Now a days it has also become a major can be for Marble products.
Todgarh : 120 Kms. south of Ajmer is situated on the Aravallis Mountain
range. It is 3281 feet above the sea level. A fort built by captain Tod is also
an attraction of this place besides its scenic beauty. Approachable by road
on the National highway no. 8.
Baghera : It is an archeologists delight. It attracted the attention
of archeologist A.C.L. Carllyle who found the relics of 1226 AD.
Varaha Avtar temple is the main feature of this place. It is presently
enshrined in relatively modern building near the sacred tank called
Varaha Sagar.Ruins of temples of 10th and 11th century can be seen around
this tank. On the outskirts there is a rock area called "Mataji Dungar"
A famous Jain temple is situated here.
