Pali is the major city of this circuit. It is linked by rail from Jodhpur.
It is also linked by train from Jaipur and Delhi, Ahemadabad rail link.Bali
is a small town 8 kms. south west of Falna railway station. There is an ancient
fort worth seeing. Many beautifully carved temples are also places to visit.
Sojat : It is 110 kms. from Jodhpur and has a chequered history. The
fort had a number of onslaughts. The fort still exists and can be seen.
Sojat is known for its cutlery, daggers, swards etc.
Sirohi : It is a district town, situated at the south west of Rajasthan.
It is believed that the name of this town many home derived from 'Sirwana' hills.
It was founded in 1405 AD by Rao Shobhaji later on Rao Sahasmal builtt the city
in the present site. There is a fort and a Jain temple that are of tourist interest.
Jalore : It is presumed that it is one of the ancient towns of Rajasthan.
In the 8th century it was a flourishing town and was ruled by Praihar Kings.
It is famous for its fort built by Parmaras in the 10th century. The fort has
four gigantic gates but it is approachable only from one side. There is a mosque
of a saint 'Malik Shah' said to be built by Alaudin Khilgi in the center of
the fort.
